Here is my history so you can see why I am so passionate about staying focused on fitness!
I am currently a stay at home mom to a wonderful little man named Mason. He recently started preschool 2 days a week, even though it seems like he was just born! I have been married for 6 years and we have lived in California for most of that time. We moved out west to California from Kansas, where the hubby and I were both raised. I was pregnant with Mason during this move and maybe it was hormones combined with being away from family but I definitely dove into eating with vigor for those 9 months!

| The last documented photo of the pregnancy! This is only around 4 months and after this it got ugly! |
It a short time I went from being a normal (if somewhat unsatisfied with her body) 145 pound woman to a gargantuan 235 pound fatty waiting to give birth. Unfortunately, well maybe fortunately now that I think about it, the baby wasn't 50 pounds so that meant I had about 100 pounds to lose. Crazy right!? Why no doctor ever said, "lady put down the donuts!" I will never know, I do know that I had a lot of work to do.
During the entire pregnancy my motto was - this is our first and probably only child, I'm going to live it up! And live it up I did, except I never thought about what happened after the baby came. I thought I would get back to working out and going to the gym, all the time not considering I would have a newborn baby to take care of! The pounds were slowly coming off, thanks mostly to watching what I ate and very very seldom trips to the gym. Then when Mason was 7 months old we bought our first house and I made the best decision of my life. I joined a gym!
| This is about 7 to 10 pounds away from my ultimate goal, feeling pretty good! |
After a lot of hard work, and a few set backs I lost all of the weight! I took a long time, about 2 1/2 years, but it was so worth it. I felt strong, happy, and fit. Now came the problem of maintaining my new weight of 135 pounds. Without a goal to hit I got a little lost and a little weight started to creep back on. That is why I am starting this Pinterest workout project. So that I have a goal, to complete a new workout each week, and I have you holding me accountable!
